Your favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is about to see a resurgence. On the television side, Spider-Man has been relatively active in animation for quite some time. Since 2012, Peter Parker has appeared on Disney XD in Ultimate Spider-Man . That series, which is currently airing its fourth season, re-titled, Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister 6, will end its run in January. But fans of the web-slinger should not fret, as it has been announced that Spider-Man will not be without a solo series for very long.

USA Today is reporting that Marvel will be launching a new Spider-Man series on Disney XD next year. The series, which will see Peter Parker as a superhero in his teenage years, will be simply titled, Marvel’s Spider-Man .

The new series will be led by story editor Kevin Shinick ( Robot Chicken ), who will be joined by supervising director Philip Pignottie ( Marvel’s Avengers Assemble ), and will see Peter Parker return to his roots. Cort Lane, a senior vice president of Marvel Animation added of the series, “ The simple title reflects a back-to-basics approach…it’s just filled with heart and humor. ”

這部新作將由編劇Kevin Shinick ( Robot Chicken ),由《復仇者聯盟》的導演Philip Pignottie聯合打造,而且將會看到彼得帕克回歸最初的角色。漫威動畫的高級主席Cort Lane介紹這部劇:“這個簡潔的名字是回歸本質……充滿了心意和人性。”
