　　With the development of modern telecommunications, mobiles are widely used by most people. They have one or two or even more mobiles for their own convenience. They use mobiles to make phone calls as well send text messages. Therefore making phone calls and sending text messages on the mobile are equally popular. People take both ways for different purposes.

　　In my opinion sending text messages is silent. Thus safe enough to avoid being overhead by others. Besides with text messages, we can express what we feel reluctant to tell face to face witch each other. By means of text messages sent our friends can “read” the friendship between the lines made by fingers on the screen. What’s more, text messages can carry exact information, like bank accounts, email addresses and so on. The “quietness”, “exactness”, and“indirectness” of text messages really help us a lot.

　　However, by making phone calls, we can talk directly to each other and get responses immediately, thus making communications more efficient and effective.

　　In addition, with the voice heard from the other end, we could feel much closer to the friends we are talking to as if they were just before us.

　　Besides, for most people dialing some numbers can be a lot easier than typing some words on the keyboard.

　　In the light of the foregoing, sending text messages and making phone calls each have it own respective advantages. It’s up to us choose what to use for own purposes.

　　We could choose to dance our fingers for words needed or move our fingers for numbers required, whatever necessary.
