　　Mother's day originated in Greece, the ancient greeks in the day to honor the mother of the gods in Greek mythology Hera. 　　現(xiàn)代意義上的母親節(jié)起源于美國(guó)。1913年，美國(guó)國(guó)會(huì)通過(guò)了一份議案，將每年5月的第二個(gè)星期天作為法定的母親節(jié)。母親節(jié)從此流傳開(kāi)來(lái)!

　　母親節(jié)創(chuàng)立后，得到了全世界各國(guó)人民的支持，已經(jīng)成了一個(gè)名副其實(shí)的國(guó)際性節(jié)日。按慣例，“國(guó)際母親節(jié)”被定在每年的5月11日舉行。雖然，有一些國(guó)家是在一年中不同的時(shí)節(jié)慶祝屬于他們的母親節(jié)，然而，包括我國(guó)在內(nèi)的多數(shù)國(guó)家，如丹麥、芬蘭、意大利、土耳其、澳大利亞和比利時(shí)等等，都是在5月的第二個(gè)星期日慶祝母親節(jié)的。
