全球變暖將會(huì)增加洪災(zāi)和旱災(zāi)英語(yǔ)美文

　　Global warming will exacerbate rainfall extremes – both deluges and droughts – by more than most climatologists have predicted, according to a study of satellite data and climate models published on the 8 Aug in the journal Science.

　　Experts agree that heavy rain will fall more frequently in a warmer world, because higher temperatures increase the amount of energy and water vapour that can be stored in the atmosphere. But Richard Allan, of Reading University in the UK, and Brian Soden of the University of Miami, in the US, say computer models underestimate the likely intensification of rainfall.

　　The implications for the global water cycle could be grim. Floods will become more frequent in wet regions while dry regions will suffer droughts, says Mr Allan. “Because rainfall worldwide is not expected to change much, the very heavy rainfall events will have to be balanced by other places becoming more dry.”

　　While atmospheric physics suggest that heavy rainfall increases by 7 per cent for every 1°C rise in temperature, the latest analysis suggests the most torrential downpours rise by as much as 15 per cent for every 1°C of warming

　　專(zhuān)家承認(rèn)，隨著世界變暖，強(qiáng)降雨將會(huì)出現(xiàn)得更加頻繁，因?yàn)闇囟壬�高讓存留在大氣中的能量和水蒸氣增多。但英�?guó)里丁大學(xué)(University of Reading)的理查德?艾倫(Richard Allan)和美國(guó)邁阿密大學(xué)(University of Miami)的布賴(lài)恩?索登(Brian Soden)表示，電腦模型低估了可能的降水加強(qiáng)。

　　艾倫表示，這對(duì)全球水循環(huán)的影響將是可怕的。多雨地區(qū)的洪水將會(huì)變得更加頻繁，而干旱地區(qū)將會(huì)遭受旱災(zāi)�！坝捎谌�球降雨量預(yù)計(jì)不會(huì)有太大變化，部分地區(qū)發(fā)生強(qiáng)降雨的同時(shí)，其它地區(qū)將會(huì)變得更為干燥�！�

　　盡管大氣物理指出，氣溫每升高1攝氏度，降雨量就會(huì)增加7%，但最新分析卻表明，氣溫每升高1攝氏度，傾盆大雨將會(huì)增加15%之多。
